The Myers-Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI) is a friendly guide to personality exploration. Imagine having a tool that analyses the intricacies of your inner world, the possible reasons for your decisions and behaviour; a concept that helps you understand why you are attracted to or interact with certain things.
Since I wrote about character alignments in another article, I wanted to write about this indicator as well. However, I have to say that not everyone sees it as an appropriate tool. A psychologist friend of mine said that it has nothing to do with a formal perspective. Personally, I just like reading about it and seeing the many correlations with results, and I don’t take it with any great expectations. My type has always been the same over the years (I have done it 3–4 times over the years), so I believe that at least some preferences and traits can be constant in me.
So let’s get started and have a look at what they are. I will also include some examples of well-known characters from novels and TV series/films to help you understand them better. I have to say that when people delve deeper into the details of each character (these can be real people or fictional characters, as you can use this for literally anyone), they argue diligently about their true type. However, as I mentioned earlier, characters can change during their journey.
